Remember the Summer Reading Program will be held at the Blossburg Memorial Library every Tues., from June 19th to July 24th, from 10am to 11am. This program is available to children ages 4 through 12 years of age. Please contact the library for more information.
Wed., June 20th from 7-8:30pm the Victoria Theatre will be showing, "Hope for Polluted Water," from the Countryside Film Series. Cost is $5.
Thurs., June 21st from 6 - 7:30pm the Kiwanis Club of Blossburg will meet in their building at the Island Park. For more info call 638-2908.
Happy birthday to Sharon Levandoski from your friends. Now Jerome and Joann Ogden, as well as, Don and Caroline Camp will be celebrating anniversaries soon.
On Sat., Aug. 4th there will be a 5K race to help support the Island Park Swimming Pool. Registration will begin at 7:45 and the race will start at 9:00 am. Registration fee will be $15.00 and those forms are available at the Borough office or online.

I am still looking for photos of local towns that were affected by the Agnes Flood of 1972. If you have photos or even a story, please send them in. Also the anniversary of the Mohawk airplane crash is fast approaching, if you would like to share your story or photos I would greatly like to collect the information for later use. This article cannot exist without you!
