This year is not over yet, Blossburg!  So if you have delayed in decorating your home or yard you still have until the afternoon of Sunday, Dec. 18th to light up the holidays.  Judging is taking place on the evening of the 18th, from 7 PM to 9 PM.  The town is looking bright and cheerful.  Thanks to all those who have created wonderful displays this year.

Since the resizing of the Mansfield/Wellsboro Gazette, this column, like many others, has been cut down in size.  However, do not let that keep you from sending your events, birthday wishes and meeting notices from coming in.  I will still be adding all the information you send to the www.blossburg.org blog site.  You are encouraged to use the site to see how easy it is to find the information you are looking for.  Remember there are many groups that are active in Blossburg.  I will continue to post a modified version for the newspaper to keep those without Internet service up to date on what is going on in our town week to week.  

The Covington Baptist Church invites you to join them for a Christmas celebration.  "Come Emmanuel" will be held Sunday, Dec. 18th at 6 P.M.  You will enjoy the adult and children's choirs, join in with sing-a-long Christmas Carols and then have some refreshments after the program.

Christmas Eve services will be held at the Covington United Methodist Church at 6 P.M.  This service will feature candlelight and communion.  The Christmas Eve service at the First United Methodist Church in Blossburg will be held at 7:45 P.M. with special music.  It includes the play, "The Innkeeper's Dilemma."  There will be one service on Christmas day, which will be held at the Covington UMC at 9 A.M.

From the Calendar of Events. Wednesday, Dec. 14th at 6 P.M. there will be a general membership meeting for the Hillside Rod & Gun Club.  On Thursday, Dec. 15th at 6 P.M. there will be a Kiwanis Club of Blossburg Meeting.  Also that same evening at 7 P.M. there will be a Blossburg Fire/Ambulance Auxiliary meeting.
