"A Night in Bethlehem" brought many visitors to Blossburg on Dec. 4th.  It was a family event with many "hands-on" activities for everyone.  It was a process of taking Vacation Bible School and combining it with living history.  Adults and kids alike enjoyed participating in the activities that unfolded around them.  This event was a joint operation of 9 local churches with more than 30 church members running the activities throughout the event.  Thanks to all who made this a huge success!

It is not to late to become part of the "Light Up the Holidays" Decorating Contest!  We encourage you to get out and decorate your home or yard for the holidays.  You may be one of our next winners.  Judging will be held on Dec. 18th from 7 PM to 9 PM.  There will be a winner in each of the following categories:  Best overall, most Christmas Spirit, Victorian, Best Business Display and Green Christmas.  Green Christmas falls under eco-friendly, energy-efficient products, like LED lighting.

The Covington Baptist Church invites you to join them for a Christmas Celebration.  "Come Emmanuel" will be held Sunday, Dec. 18th at 6:00 PM.  You will enjoy the adult and children's choirs, join in with sing-a-long Christmas Carols and then have some refreshments after the program.

Come to the "Cookie Walk," Soup Sale and Nativity Display on Saturday, Dec 10th from noon until 5:00 p.m., in the 1st UMC Blossburg Social Room.  A "Cookie Walk" is a cookie sale in which dozens upon dozens of cookies will be on display. Buyers can walk around and select the ones they wish to purchase.  They will be put in bags for them by assistants.  Soup will be available to eat in or buy by the quart. Stop in and view the display of Nativity Scenes. All proceeds benefit the parish mission fund.
