Belated Happy Birthday wishes to Matthew Sargeant on Aug.26th.

Congratulations to Keith Levindoski and Sara Jones, of Blossburg, on the birth of their daughter, Breanna Lee, on July 10th.

ANNOUNCEMENTS:

The Panther's will kick off their season on Saturday, Sept.2, with the Varsity team playing at Cowanesque Valley at 7pm. The J.V. team will play at Wyalusing on Monday, Sept.11 at 6pm. Junior High plays at Troy on Wednesday, Sept.13th at 4:30pm.

The Southern Tioga Sreamin' Eagles will play against Sayre at home on Sunday, Sept.3. The games will begin with the Flag team starting at 12pm.

The TCCCC in concert with the Hillside Rod and Gun Club is sponsoring it's 4th annual LOBSTER BAKE on Sept.16. Serving times are 1pm and 3pm. Tickets are available through Hillside or any TCCCC member.

Mark your calander:

The annual "Octoberfest" which is sponsored by the Coal Festival Committee will be held on the downtown square on Saturday, October 14th. Any organization will not be charged for their space for a fundraising booth. The festivities will be held from 11am-5pm. In order to reserve a space, call 638-0274 or 638-3313. This celebration is usually held the weekend of Homecoming but the date had to be changed due to the pumpkin harvest.

REMINDERS:

A food pantry is held the 3rd Monday each month from 10am-12pm and 6pm-8pm at The First United Methodist Church of Blossburg. For more information, contact Betty Johnson at (570)638-2805.

The Farmer's Market is at the Blossburg Plaza every Sat., 8 a.m.- 1p.m., rain or shine. New vendors are welcome. For information, contact Tonya at mcnamara@epix.net.

T.O.P.S. (Take off Pounds Sensibly) meets every Monday at the First United Methodist Church of Blossburg. Weigh-in is at 5 p.m.

Blossburg BINGO! Every Monday bingo is held at St. Mary's Hall, 6:30pm and every Wednesday at the fire & ambulance building, 6:30pm
