Attention Panther Fans! This year's 7th annual Josh Palmer Pigskin Classic will be held on Friday, August 31st, at 7:00 pm on our field. The Panthers will host Cowanesque Valley Indians in this season's first game. Pregame and halftime performances will be by the Mansfield University Marching Band, The Spirit and Pride of Pennsylvania. There will be raffle's featuring Buffalo Bills, Penn State, and Army game tickets, NFL, MLB, NBA and NHL memorabilia and autographed items, plus much more. All raffle proceeds benefit the Josh Palmer fund to help area youth afflicted with cancer.
The Blossburg Area Ministerium and the Blossburg Area Christian Woman United, held a back to school bash for area students on Sunday, Aug.26. There was a dunking booth, swimming, food, prize giveaways, etc., all free!
Each child that went received a bag full of school supplies. 152 children from the Southerntioga school district attended.
REMINDERS:
The Farmers Market is held every Saturday from 8 am to 1 pm in the Blossburg Plaza.Vendors are needed that sell home made crafts,baked goods, grow or pick their own fruits and vegetables etc.For more information call Tonya at 638-3112 or mcnamara@epix.net.
A food pantry is held the 3rd Monday each month from 10am-12pm and 6pm-8pm at The First United Methodist Church of Blossburg. For more information, contact Betty Johnson at (570)638-2805.
T.O.P.S. (Take off Pounds Sensibly) meets every Monday at the First United Methodist Church of Blossburg. Weigh-in is at 5 p.m.
Blossburg BINGO! Every Monday bingo is held at St. Mary's Hall, 6:30pm
