The Blossburg Kiwanis Club inducted several new members at their July meeting. the new member's are former Lt. Governor Lyle Brion, Mary Higgins, Glenda Bogaczyk, Penny Swope, Jeff Everett, and Debbie Everett. Congratulations! Persons interested in becoming Kiwanis members should contact Tom Bogaczyk at 638-3688 or attend the monthly meeting.

The Screamin' Eagles (Southern Tioga Youth Football) will play against Canton at the first game of the season on Aug 26 at home. the games will start at 4pm, beginning with the flag team.

The Blossburg Kiwanis Club will be having an auction on Saturday, Sept.30 at 10am on the Island Park. those wishing to donate items for the auction should contact Tom Bogaczyk 638-3688, Jack Eckman 638-2934, Dr. James Montague 324-2690 or the Blossburg Boro office at 638-2452.

LIBRARY NEWS:
Library news: The Bloss Memorial Library has been chosen to sponsor "Read About It!", a packaged book discussion program featuring PA writers. the program is free and open to the general public. contact the library at 638-2197 or visit www.blossburgmemoriallibrary.com for more information.
The library was awarded a grant from the libri foundation. The friends contributed $350, which the foundation matched at a 2:1 ratio. combined, the library received $1050.00 (70 books) through the foundation's "Books For Children" program. Visit the library to borrow and/or view the new books.

REMINDERS:

A food pantry is held the 3rd Monday each month from 10am-12pm and 6pm-8pm at The First United Methodist Church of Blossburg. For more information, contact Betty Johnson at (570)638-2805.

The Farmer's Market is at the Blossburg Plaza every Sat., 8 a.m.- 1p.m., rain or shine. New vendors are welcome. For information, contact Tonya at mcnamara@epix.net.

T.O.P.S. (Take off Pounds Sensibly) meets every Tuesday at the First United Methodist Church of Blossburg. Weigh-in is at 5 p.m.

Blossburg BINGO! Every Monday bingo is held at St. Mary's Hall, 6:30pm and every Wednesday at the fire & ambulance building, 6:30pm
