John and Staci Onks celebrated their wedding anniversary on June 27. Ward Manufacturing has 2 new security guards, Rick Stewart of Blossburg and Aaron (Andy) Faulkner of Mansfield. On July 11, wish Aaron a happy birthday!

There will be a chicken barbeque in the Holiday Market parking lot on Saturday, July 10. The sale begins at 10:00am and benefits VIBE. Sleezy Construction is cooking.

The New Visions UM Parish (Blossburg and Covington) invites the community to a free ice cream social on Sunday, July 11th from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Blossburg UMC Social Room. Have dinner at home, but have dessert on us. FMI call Pastor Michele at 638-3046.

The food pantry at the Blossburg United Methodist Church will be held one week early this month, due to the church's upcoming Vacation Bible School. The pantry will be open on Monday, July 12, from 10am until noon and from 6pm until 7:30pm. This pantry is available to anyone who lives in the Blossburg area (Blossburg, Covington, Morris Run & Arnot).

The First United Methodist Church of Blossburg will hold Vacation Bible School July 18th through July 22nd, from 6:00 until 8:30 each evening. Registration and a cookout will be held at 4:30 on July 18th. Everyone is welcome! For information, contact the church office at 638-3046.

There will be a free movie about natural gas drilling at the Canoe Camp Church (near Wal-Mart). "Split Estate" will be shown on Thursday, July 15, from 7:00pm until 9:00pm. The public is invited to come and learn about drilling activities and mineral rights.

Coal Country Ironworks entered their float starring Mable the mule in the Laurel Festival parade and won 1st prize for the community of Blossburg! The float was designed by Bernie Tokarz. Coal Country Ironworks manufactures Headstone Halos and is owned by Bernie Tokarz, Faye Davies Kuzneski, Bob Kuzneski, and Jerrie Deming.

The Blossburg High School/NPHS Annual Alumni Reunion will be held August 7. For complete information and to register, visit blossburg.org and click on the link under "News @ a Glance."
