Happy birthday to Trevor DeRemer, who was 19 on July 26, and to Jerry Onks, who celebrated on July 25.

On Sunday, the First Baptist Church of Blossburg celebrated "Christmas in July." A special offering was collected for the missionaries that this church supports. Guest minister was Pastor Dave Duty from Houston, Texas, who is the son-in-law of Pastor John and Linda Shypulefski. Dave was accompanied by wife, Amy, and children, Callie and Nathaniel.

Blossburg's Pool Together organization will be hosting a 5K Run/Walk on August 7 at Island Park. Registration at 7:45-8:45AM, race at 9:00AM. The $15 entry free benefits renovation of Blossburg pool. Plaques will be awarded to overall male and female finishers. Medals awarded for 1st 2nd and 3rd place in all age groups. All race participants will receive a free t-shirt. "Step Back in Time" and share memories of the Victoria Theatre during the 22nd Annual Blossburg/North Penn Alumni Reunion. Join your classmates on Friday, August 6, 2010, 6:00 to 8:00 pm, at the soon to be re-opened theater on Blossburg's Main Street. The reunion continues on Saturday, August 7, from 3:30pm until 10:00pm, at the Blossburg Fire Department. VIBE will hold its monthly meeting on Wednesday, July 28, at 6:00pm in the Kiwanis Building at Island Park. One of VIBE's upcoming events is the Blossburg Fall Festival. The Festival will be held on Sunday, October 17, from noon until 5:00pm in the Riverside Plaza parking lot. There are currently spaces available for food, games, arts & crafts, community organizations, and more. Reserve your space today!
