Happy birthday to Patty Onks, who will celebrate on June 20.

Condolences to the family of Freece Morris, who entered Heaven on Friday, June 11. His relatives in Blossburg include his wife of 76 years, Hilda, and his daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Pastor John Shypulefski. Though he will be missed, it is of great comfort to know that he is now healthy and whole.

On June 13, the First Baptist Church of Blossburg commemorated Children's Day. During the morning service, the children sang a medley of songs from their upcoming Vacation Bible School. later, the congregation enjoyed a lunch of hot dogs and hamburgers. For dessert, everyone built their own ice cream sundae!

Take a trip to the rainforest with this year's Vacation Bible School at the First Baptist Church of Blossburg! From June 21 to June 25, kids experience a jungle atmosphere as they enjoy music, games, snacks, and more. They will learn how God loves each of us, and how they can share that love with others. We'd like to extend our thanks to Nickerson Construction and VIBE for sponsoring this year's Town-Wide Yard Sale. There were many shoppers in town, and the weather cooperated nicely to make it a terrific day!

VIBE will hold its June meeting on the 23rd, in the Kiwanis Building at Island Park, beginning at 6:00pm. VIBE is a non-profit organization dedicated to revitalizing downtown Blossburg. All of our monthly meetings are open to the general public; come in an find out more about our organization, get involved in an action team or start a new project under V.I.B.E. http://www.blossburg.org/vibe.

The circus is coming to Island Park on July 1. Tickets can be purchased from any member of the Blossburg Fire Department. Cost is $10 in advance($15 at door). Coupons to admit children 14 and younger for free will be avaiable soon. For more information, call 638-2747.

The VIBE-sponsored farmers' market is open from 8:00am until 1:00pm each Saturday at Riverside Plaza. Come and get some great bargains on produce, homemade food, plants, and more.
