Join Blossburg V.I.B.E. and the Coal Festival Committee at the Get Involved, Blossburg! party, to be held Thursday, May 4, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the community room of Blossburg Memorial Library. All organizations are welcome to set up a table to disseminate information or attract volunteers. All community members are welcome to attend to get onformation or to volunteer. The party will unveil the best of the 14th annual Coal Festival, recognize the Coal Festival sponsors, and promote community involvement. Light refreshments will be served. Blossburg's spring clean up is happening right now! For more information, contact the borough office at (570) 638-2452 or visit www.blossburg.org/boro/notices/06spring_cleanup.html. Don't forget, if you need a recycling bin, call the office.

The borough is seeking applicants for the position of water/wastewater collections system operator and treatment plant operator trainee. The position will be responsible for assisting with the operation and maintenance of the water and sewer plant lines. The full text of the notice is available at www.blossburg.org.

The area Youth Soccer program is sponsoring a Spaghetti dinner to benefit AYSO Region 1138. The dinner will be held on Friday, May 5 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Kiwanis Building in Blossburg. Tickets can be purchased from any soccer player or at the door. The cost is $7 adults, $5 children 12 and under, children under three are free. Come let the kids serve you and support their program!

Wednesday, May 10, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Blossburg Elementary and North Penn High schools will hold an academic festival to showcase the elementary science fair, National Honor Society induction, high school academic fair, a book fair, and give demonsrations of POWER library, physical education skills, music and drama. All are welcome to see our students' accomplishments, socialize and eat!

T.O.P.S. (Take off Pounds Sensibly) meets every Monday at the First United Methodist Church of Blossburg. Weigh-in is at 5 p.m.
Blossburg BINGO! Every Monday bingo is held at St. Mary's Hall, 6:30pm and every Wednesday at the fire & ambulance building, 6:30pm
