The next VIBE meeting will be held Wednesday, May 27, in the Kiwanis Building at Island Park, from 6:00 – 7:30 PM. Warm weather is finally here, bringing with it activities and events for everyone. To learn more about what VIBE is up to this summer, come to the meeting. These gatherings are open to the public and free refreshments are served. The Blossburg Memorial Library has announced an exciting Summer Reading Program that will take place June 16th through July 21st. The theme is “Be Creative @ Your Library.” Each Tuesday at 10:00 AM, you can participate in fun activities such as music, painting, scrapbooking, photography, computer graphics, martial arts, and more! The arrival of summer in Blossburg also means the borough swimming pool will be soon be filled with splashing, squealing and fun! The pool opens on June 5. Season passes are $50/single, $90/family. Get your passes soon; after June 12, the price increases to $60/single and $120/family.

Sleezy Construction will be hosting a chicken barbeque on Saturday, May 30th. The sale will be held in the Holiday Market parking lot, beginning at 10:30. Proceeds will benefit the North Penn Little League; come out and support the kids.

It’s nearly time for the 21st annual reunion of Blossburg and North Penn High Schools. Classes ending in “4” and “9” will receive special recognition. For the schedule of events on Saturday, August 1, go to http://blossburg.org/alumni/09invite.pdf.
