Blossburg is bustling with activity this week! On May 19, VIBE will be meeting at The Brick Restaurant on Main Street, beginning at 6:00pm. The Fall Festival plans will be discussed. VIBE meetings are open to the public, and we hope you will join us!

This Saturday, May 22, is the Blossburg Town-Wide Yard Sale. FREE maps showing locations of registered sales are available at 147 South Williamson Road. Come to town and get some great bargains!

While you're in town on Saturday, stop by the Holiday Market for a delicious barbequed chicken lunch. Sleezy Construction is cooking to benefit Little League. Sales begin at 10:00am.

The Blossburg Fire Department Auxiliary Meeting will be held Thursday, May 20, from 7:00pm until 8:30pm in the Department building by the green bridge. Community members are welcome to attend the meetings.

Dip your toes into reading with Blossburg Memorial Library's “Water Your Mind” Adult (ages 18 and over) Summer Reading Program. Join us for book discussions, special programs, parties, fun and more! The 2010 North Penn/Blossburg High School Reunion will be held Saturday, August 7, from 3:30pm until 10:00 pm at the Blossburg Fire & Ambulance Building. For more information, go to www.blossburg.org and click on the Reunion link.

The Blossburg State Coal Festival is May 26 through 29. Admission pins are $3.00 at the gate or 2 for $5.00 in advance at Bloss Hardware, First Citizens National Bank of Blossburg, Blossburg Borough offices, or Momma's Restaurant. Your pin is good for the entire event. Come see the annual car show, enjoy the carnival booths and rides, have delicious barbequed chicken, see who is crowned in the Royalty Pageant, and much more. The Festival culminates with Saturday's fireworks display, one of the best shows in our area! A schedule of events and photos of past Festivals is located at www.blossburgcoalfestival.org.

The Friends of The Blossburg Library will hold a one day Book Sale on Saturday, May 29th at the Library.

May 29 is also the opening date for the VIBE-sponsored Blossburg Farmers' Market at Riverside Plaza from 8:00am until 1:00pm.
