The NPHS band took 1st place in Wildwood, NJ last week at the Atlantic Coast Championship for Concert Band. Congratulation NP!

Crafters are needed July 7 from 9:00-3:00 at the Liberty Gym for the Summer Blast Car Show/ Craft Show. The cost is $10.00 for a 12x12 space(early registration).For more info call 998-9745 after 5:00.

Whether you are a Boinski, a Boinske, or a Zboiniki this year's Coal Festival is for you. About twenty years ago the extended Boinski Family had a 100 years of Boinskis in Blossburg. This year they are having a get together the Saturday of the Coal Festival. They hope anyone with Boinski ancestry will stop and see them at their tent and bring something to share with the other Boinskis such as stories, pictures, or any other items of interest. With Coal miners, Doctors, Teachers, Veterans, and even a Mayor it should be a fun time.You can call Peter Lupkowski at 404-0338 for more information.

The Farmers Market will start May 26th, 8 am to 1 pm in the Blossburg Plaza and run every Saturday. Vendors needed that sell home made crafts,baked goods, grow or pick their own fruits and vegetables etc. For more information call Tonya at 638-3112 or mcnamara@epix.net.

The Blossburg Elementary School Team (BEST) will be having a spaghetti dinner on Friday, June 1st, from 5pm-8pm. All proceeds will benefit the "playground fund". Tickets may be purchased at Blossburg Elementary (570-638-2146)for adults $7, ages 5-12 $5, age 4 and under free. This dinner is advance ticket only!

BEST is holding a Spirit Sale to benefit the "playground fund". Clothing, etc. is available with the BES or NPHS logo. All products can be viewed at the Blossburg Elementary School office May 9-23. Products can be purchased there or from any BES student. For more information, contact BES at 638-2146.

On Thursday, May 24, at 9:30am, all 650 NPHS and BES students and their teachers will walk to the Blossburg Veterans Memorial and honor local Veterans, Active Veterans and Reservists by singing the National Anthem. If you or your group would like more information on the National Anthem Project or if you would like to participate,contact Rebecca Hemling at the BES office 638-2146.

Blossburg VIBE will hold their monthly meeting on Wednesday May 16, 2007 at 6:00 pm. in the Blossburg Library Community room. For more information visit blossburg.org.

REMINDERS:

A food pantry is held the 3rd Monday each month from 10am-12pm and 6pm-8pm at The First United Methodist Church of Blossburg. For more information, contact Betty Johnson at (570)638-2805.

T.O.P.S. (Take off Pounds Sensibly) meets every Monday at the First United Methodist Church of Blossburg. Weigh-in is at 5 p.m.

Blossburg BINGO! Every Monday bingo is held at St. Mary's Hall, 6:30pm and every Wednesday at the fire & ambulance building, 6:00pm

BINGO has changed at the Blossburg Volunteer Fire and Ambulance Building. It's still every Wednesday night. The doors open at 5pm. However,effective February 14th, Bingo will start at 6:00pm INSTEAD of 6:30pm.

Weight Watchers meet every Wednesday at The First United Methodist Church of Blossburg. Weigh in starts at 5:15 pm.
