Happy anniversary to George and Joyce Lloyd of Blossburg. They have been married for 57 years, as of March 29th. Congratulations!

There are many birthdays to note this week. Sabrina Lattimer celebrates on April 1; Troy Dickinson, Matthew Onks and Ginny Murphy share a birthday on April 5th; on April 7, it's Harry Lattimer's turn. Hope you all have a wonderful day. Belated birthday greetings go out to Sandy Mundis, whose birthday was March 29.

Erma Cretsinger continues to need your thoughts and prayers. She has experienced several serious complications from her fall two weeks ago. Please take a moment to send her a card:

Blossburg is pleased to welcome two couples to Riverside Park. Freece and Hilda Morris come from Shickshinny, PA, and have been married for over 75 years! Their daughter, Linda Shypulefski, has been enjoying having her parents so close to home. Joseph and Andrea Brown have relocated from Westfield. If you see these new neighbors, give them a warm Blossburg greeting.

The Southern Tioga School District Board of Education will be having a meeting to discuss the proposed consolidation of the schools. The meeting will be held Monday, April 6, from 6:30 to 8:00 PM at the North Penn High School auditorium. This meeting is open to the public, and is very important to the future of our schools and students.

The Blossburg Kiwanis will host a chicken barbeque on April 11 at Island Park. This barbeque will benefit the Blossburg Memorial Library. For more information, contact Ralph Mundis at 638-2617.

Start your Spring cleaning! Blossburg will be holding a Community Yard Sale on May 16, coordinated by VIBE. A map of yard sale locations will be made available to shoppers who come to Blossburg for some great bargains. To have your sale included on the shoppers' map, call Barb Slocum at (570) 656-6597. Mark your calendar for the 21st annual reunion of graduates and attendees of the Blossburg and North Penn High School. The reunion will be on Saturday, August 1, 2009. Members of classes ending in “4” and “9” are especially urged to attend! To make sure your current name and address are correct on the Alumni Association’s list, go to http://www.blossburg.org/alumni and send your information. Mark “yes” if you would like your name added to the alumni directory.
