Happy birthday to Ashton Kralicek, who will be 5 on April 15. Ashton is the grandson of Barb Slocum of Blossburg.

The Blossburg Fire Department Auxiliary will meet on April 15, at 7:00pm at the fire hall. Community members from the greater Blossburg area are welcome to attend the meetings.

A chicken barbeque will be held on April 17, from 10am until noon, in the Bloss Holiday Market parking lot. The Kiwanis will be cooking to benefit Siloa Lutheran Church.

The first Tioga's Got Talent! show will take place on Saturday, April 17, at 6:00pm in Mansfield University's Straughn Auditorium. Come see friends and neighbors showcase their talent and compete for cash prizes.

The Blossburg Borough Council will meet April 19 in the Borough Building on Main Street. The 6:30pm meeting is open to the public.

The TCCCC is offering two $1,000 scholarships for graduating high school seniors in Tioga County. The Linda Lutomski Environmental Scholarship is offered to seniors in the Southern Tioga School District. The TCCCC Environmental Scholarship is available to all Tioga County seniors. Visit the web site at www.tcccc-inc.org and select the "scholarship" link to view additional information and past recipients. Applications are available through the Guidance Counselors at area high schools.

Ross and Sandy Roupp of Arnot traveled to South Carolina to visit family and celebrate some birthdays. Grandson Joseph's birthday was April 11. Ross and grandson Jacob shared their birthday on April 12. The boys are the sons of John and Kathleen Gibson.

Volunteers are a vital part of Blossburg Memorial Library. They help by cleaning and shelving books, working the circulation desk, and during the preschool story hour. To become one of these important helpers, complete a simple application available at the library. The library extends thanks for the support of its current volunteers, and invites YOU to join them! Visit the library's web site at www.blossburgmemoriallibrary.com. The library is open Monday - Thursday from noon until 8:00pm, and Friday from noon until 5:00pm.

The Blossburg Spring Cleanup will be from April 26 until April 30. Get your Spring cleaning done and have your items at the curb by April 25.
