Happy Birthday April 12 Ross Roupp.

April 15 Blossburg Memorial Library will be having a chicken barbeque starting at 10:30am in front of the Holiday Market. Chicken cooked by Kiwanis Club.

April 22 Meet at the Hillside Rod and Gun Club at 8am for the biannual RIVER CLEANUP. Come dressed to pick up lots of trash!!

Library News: The spring session of Preschool Story Hour will be April 6-May 25. Please use the Community Room entrance at the rear of the building. Parents are welcome to stay and participate with stories and crafts.

Book of the Month Club: Friday Night Lights by H.G.Bissinger

The Friends will have their annual Book Sale May 18-20. The library will be accepting donations of books, videos, DVDs, and CDs in good condition. We will not be taking Reader's Digest Condensed Books. Please contact the library for more information.

Congratulations!

Congratulations to Celeste Kearns who has been chosen as the Kiwanis Student of the Month for March 2006.

Special prayers and masses were offered this weekend to honor the first anniversary of the death of Pope John Paul II. As you may recall he was the first nonItalian Pope since the 16th century and of special significance locally, the first Polish Pope.

In October of 2005 the North Penn Area United Fund was able to collect a total of $6268.00 from area residents and businesses. Ward Manufacturing generously matched the residential donations of $4180.00. That money was distributed to the Blossburg Fire Department, Blossburg Ambulance Assoc., Blossburg Library, Partners in Progress, N.P. Little League, Blossburg Salvation Army and Blossburg Recreation. Thank you everyone for your donation and assisting these organizations.

T.O.P.S. (Take off Pounds Sensibly) meets every Monday at the First United Methodist Church of Blossburg. Weigh-in is at 5 p.m.
Blossburg BINGO! Every Monday bingo is held at St. Mary's Hall, 6:30pm and every Wednesday at the fire & ambulance building, 6:30pm
