A pair of cousins will be celebrating birthdays this week: Hunter Onks (March 27) and Steven Lattimer (March 29). We wish each of these boys a terrific birthday! Adam Schultz turned 5 on March 19. He celebrated with a party on Sunday, March 22, at the First Baptist Church in Blossburg. The party was attended by a large number of family members and friends.

Erma Cretsinger is recovering from a fall in which her pelvis was broken. She was able to walk a few steps this week, but is still in much pain. Get well wishes and cards can be sent to: Williamsport Hospital, Room 314, Williamsport, PA 17701. Please keep this special woman in your prayers.

Get the VIBE! The next meeting of the Blossburg Visions in Business and Entertainment will be held Wednesday, March 25, 6:00pm – 7:30pm in the Kiwanis Building at Island Park. VIBE is a non-profit organization dedicated to revitalizing downtown Blossburg. All of our monthly meetings are open to the general public. The Hamilton Township Recreation Committee will be having a chicken barbeque March 28 in Morris Run. The barbeque is hosted by Sleezy Construction. Contact person is Thomas McNamara 638-3112.

Ever wanted to be a race car driver? Here’s your chance: Cub Scout Pack 2059 is hosting a Community Pinewood Derby on Sunday, March 29, at the Bloss Township Recreation Center in Arnot. Weigh-in is at 10:00 AM, and racing begins at 11:00. A pie and cake auction at 1:00 PM will benefit the “Kids Helping Kids” charity. Mark your calendar for the 21st annual reunion of graduates and attendees of the Blossburg and North Penn High School. The reunion will be on Saturday, August 1, 2009. Members of classes ending in “4” and “9” are especially urged to attend! To make sure your current name and address are correct on the Alumni Association’s list, go to http://www.blossburg.org/alumni and send your information. Mark “yes” if you would like your name added to the alumni directory.
