Blossburg News & Views
By Cheryl Whitney Boinske

Submitted by Ethel Sandstrom:
"I read your Blossburg Views every week and have something for you.

Ralph and Ethel Sandstrom of Arnot are proud to announce that their granddaughter Ashlee has had her poem chosen to appear in the National Edition of school poetry. High Honors is a compilation of poems submitted by teachers. Only 8 poems were chosen from Ashlee's school with her submission being one of them. Ashlee attends school near Ithaca, NY, and is an honor student there. Gram is a published poet too, so this has special meaning to her."

The North Penn Industrial Arts program is primarily in junior high mode. The seventh grade students are learning proper tool use and layout skills, while the eighth grade students are at various stages of completion of birdfeeders, shelves and cabinets. Ninth grade students are working on drafting mechanical drawings. McKayla Kshir and Amber Lloyd are working hard and the results show. The class is now transitioning into the fundamentals of architectural drawings.

The juniors should start looking at the spring SAT dates and get registered on line ASAP.
