Merry Christmas Blossburg and surrounding areas. May each and everyone of you have a blessed and joyous Christmas. I would like to introduce myself to all of you. My name is Marjorie Taylor and I am your new column writer. It is an honor to be writing for you.

Happy birthday goes out to Darlene Lattimer a little early for January 4th.

The Blossburg Kiwanis Club at it’s regular meeting proudly presented achievement certificates to two students from Liberty High School for earning the title of Student of the Month at their high school. Katie Moyer, grade 11 and Rebekah Brown, grade 12 both received certificates. These awards are given out each month to the students of both North Penn High School and Liberty High School.

The Kiwanis Club of Blossburg is Reorganizing. Starting in January, meetings will be held the First and Third Thursdays of each month. The meeting will be at the Kiwanis Building at Island Park. The meetings are at 6:30pm. New participants will not be required to pay dues. If anyone is interested in joining the club they may contact Paul Hosszu at 570-638-2091. The new schedule should make it easier for all to start taking part in helping their community make a better future for their children by serving one child at a time, one community at a time, a special community our community, Blossburg.

Cub Scout Pack 2059 will help unload recycling at the Arnot Museum/Schoolhouse on Sunday, December 26, from 9:00 until 11:00 AM (items must be rinsed). Learn more about this active group by visiting https://cubscoutpack2059.clubspaces.com.

The next VIBE meeting will be held on January 26th 7:00-8:30p.m. in the Kiwanis Building at Island Park. These meetings are always open to the public, and everyone is encouraged to come and see what VIBE is doing in our community!
