Happy belated birthday to Celeste Levindoski of Blossburg, who celebrated one of those "milestone" birthdays on December 22. Rihanna Thompson was 2 years old on December 23. Her parents are John Thompson and Jasmine Mader. John is a security guard at Ward Manufacturing in Blossburg. Happy first anniversary to Fred and Karen Klein -- don't let the honeymoon end!

Matthew Onks, son of Jerry and Patty, was sworn into the Army National Guard on November 13 at the Military Entrance Processing Command in Harrisburg. He will serve with the 19th Delta Calvary Scouts. After graduating from North Penn High School next June, Matthew will participate in basic training at Fort Knox, Kentucky. We wish this polite and helpful young man much success, and we are proud to have him defending our country!

A Christmas Eve celebration will be held at the First Baptist Church of Blossburg, located at the intersection of Main and Carpenter Streets. The 8:00pm service will include traditional hymns, a Christmas message, and a candlelight ceremony. While Pastor John and Linda visit family in Texas over the holidays, the guest minister Reverend Bob Martin of the Calvary Mennonite Fellowship will deliver the Sunday message on December 27.

Drop-in excercise classes are held on Mondays and Wednesdays from 6:00 until 7:00pm at Studio B on Main Street in Blossburg. Yoga classes are Tuesday mornings and Thursday afternoons. Contact Linda at 404-4271 if you need more information.

The American Legion Post 572 of Blossburg has extended it hours of operation. The Club is open beginning at 2:00pm Wednesday through Saturday, and from 10:00am until 6:00pm on Sunday. The kitchen prepares delicious food from 2:00pm until 9:00pm Wednesday through Saturday, and from noon until 5:00pm on Sunday. The Post is open to members and guests, and operates a family atmosphere. You can join the Legion or get more information by calling 638-2481. Join today, so you can participate in upcoming activities and special dinners!
