The 9th/10th grade forensics class has shown great improvement from the first day of class. Students started off the year by creating “personality folders” and presenting them to the class. Most students were terrified to get up in front of the group, but as the nine weeks has progressed, they have definitely grown more comfortable in front of a crowd. So far, the class has given impromptu speeches, extemporaneous current event speeches, partner speeches, demonstration speeches (which involved some delicious visual aids!), short story speeches, and persuasive speeches. The award for most persuasive speech went to Corey Hamel, the best partner speech went to Travis Smith and Nick Seeley, and the best short story speech was given by Travis Smith.
