The Salvation Army chapter of Blossburg is looking for volunteers to ring the bell this holiday season. Many families in and around our area are assisted by the kindness of this organization. Please contact Sandy Mundis at 638-2617 or rasa@epix.net to schedule your time to volunteer for this worthy organization.Bell ringers are needed outside of the Bloss Holiday Market on Fridays from 4:00pm to closing and on Saturdays from 9:00am until 12:30pm. At Walmart, any time between 9:00am and 7:00pm.Volunteer hours are priceless and the Salvation Army benefits communities and families like yours.Thanks in advance for ringing in some cheer.
Blossburg V.I.B.E. and the Blossburg Memorial Library are pleased to announce their "Light Up The Holidays" Event and Contest.Pictures with Santa will begin on Sat., Dec. 9 from 2pm-6pm at the library. This includes crafts, coloring, games, etc. Pictures are $5. The tree lighting ceremony will begin at 6pm. This will include a visit from Santa, hot cocoa, snacks, caroling, and the lighting of the community tree (Please bring a non-perishable food item to the ceremony for the food pantry). The "Light Up The Holidays" contest is open to every resident of Blossburg. Residents are encouraged to decorate the outside of their homes to one of the following themes: Charlie Brown, Victorian, Whimsical, Most Christmas Spirit, Best Christmas Storefront Display. Prizes will be awarded for each theme. Judging is scheduled for Dec. 17 at 7pm. For more information, contact Lonny Frost at 638-2861.

T.O.P.S. (Take off Pounds Sensibly) meets every Monday at the First United Methodist Church of Blossburg. Weigh-in is at 5 p.m.
Blossburg BINGO! Every Monday bingo is held at St. Mary's Hall, 6:30pm and every Wednesday at the fire & ambulance building, 5:30pm
Weight Watchers meet every Wednesday at The First United Methodist Church of Blossburg. Weigh in starts at 5:15 pm.
