The First Baptist Church at the intersection of Main and Carpenter Streets has also been busy warming people with food and fellowship. On Sunday, October 18, the church hosted the annual meeting of the Tioga Association of the First Baptist Church. The Tioga Association encompasses all of Tioga County and parts of Potter and Bradford Counties. More than 75 people gathered for a program that presented the Gospel Story in music. There were soloists, instrumental performances, entire choirs, and even a worship band that included an electronic drum set! After the program, a delicious dinner was held. Attendees filled their plates with a large variety of casseroles, an impressive salad bar, and a great selection of homemade desserts. The First Baptist Church of Blossburg holds a worship service each Sunday at 9:00 AM. After the service they have a time of refreshments, followed by Sunday School classes for all ages. Everyone is invited to join this active and welcoming congregation.
