Caden Coughlin, the son of Don & Jessica Coughlin will be celebrating his FIRST birthday on October 10th. Happy Birthday Caden!

Have you noticed the beautiful window display at Headz Up? Denise Levindoski, owner of the styling and tanning salon on Main Street, has a gorgeous fall theme display. Blossburg V.I.B.E. appreciates her efforts in making the downtown area attractive to shoppers.

The Lupus Support Group will not be meeting for the month of October. We look forward to seeing everyone at our Regular meeting on November 19th or the third Monday of the every month. Family and friends are welcome. Regular Meetings are every third Monday of the month at 6:30 p.m. in the community room of Blossburg Memorial Library. The Friends of the Library will hold its third annual book sale Oct. 15-20, in the community room of the library. To donate books, contact the library at (570) 638-2197 or blosslib@epix.net.

Blossburg V.I.B.E.'s monthly meeting will be held Wednesday, Oct. 17 at 6 p.m. in the community room of Blossburg Memorial Library. On the agenda: Blossburg FreeNet, a wireless internet project for downtown Blossburg; reusable grocery bags; grant applications; a new version of the business directory place mat and the newsletter; a new welcome sign for by the green bridge; and the Environmental Fair scheduled for Nov. 17, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The goal of Blossburg V.I.B.E. is to envision, plan and implement projects that will improve the quality of life for those who live, work, play or attend school in Blossburg. Everyone is welcome at our casual, fun meetings; please join us!

A new support group for families of children who learn differently will meet Nov. 14 and Dec. 12 at 7:00 p.m. in the community room of Blossburg Memorial Library. If you know or suspect your child has a learning disability or attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD/ADD), please join us to learn, share and spend time with other parents and family members who understand what you are experiencing. The Blossburg Fire Department and Blossburg Firemen's Ambulance Association will be holding a Chicken & Biscuit Dinner on December 2, 2007 at 11:30 at the Fire Hall. We also are having a Gun Raffle that will be drawn at the end of the dinner. For more information on the Gun Raffle contact Megan 404-1659.

REMINDERS:

A food pantry is held the third Monday each month from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at First United Methodist Church of Blossburg. For more information, contact Betty Johnson at (570) 638-2805.

T.O.P.S. (Take off Pounds Sensibly) meets every Monday at the First United Methodist Church of Blossburg. Weigh-in is at 5 p.m.

Blossburg BINGO! Every Monday bingo is held at St. Mary's Hall, 6:30 p.m.

Blossburg V.I.B.E. sponsors a weekly farmers' market in the Riverside Plaza parking lot every Saturday, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. On the last Friday of the month, there is also a flea market.
