The deadline to register to vote in Pennsylvania is Oct. 6. Are you registered? Are you registered with the right address? Print a registration form from here http://www.votespa.com/ and mail it to your county board of elections (addresses are in the form) or contact Shane Nickerson at 638-2005.

Northern Tier Helping Hands is gearing up for their second annual Childrens Christmas Program. If you or anyone you know needs help this Christmas for their children, please contact Janie via email or by phone at 570-297-1219.

North Penn High School would like to congratulate Samantha Lienhard for being named a commended student in the National Merit Scholarship Program. Commended students placed among the top five percent of more than 1.5 million students who entered the competition by taking the 2007 PSAT.

North Penn High School would like to remind parents that parent/teacher conferences are October 2nd and 3rd. Conferences will be in the evening on the 2nd from 5-7:30 p.m. and during the day on the 3rd from 1 to 3:15 p.m. Please sign up with your child's advisor.

St, John Neumann's will be holding a Pork Dinner on October 12 from 11:30 AM til 2:00 PM at the church hall. It is being sponsored by the Good Samaritan's Society. Cost is Adults $9, Children 5-12 $4. Children under 5 free. Take outs will be available by phoning 570-638-2783. Menu includes Pork, mashed potatoes, sauerkraut, dressing, vegetable, applesauce, homemade pie and a beverage. Come out for a fun evening filled with fellowship and good food.
