Welcome to the Blossburg, PA Website.

      Blossburg is located in Tioga County in north central Pennsylvania along Route 15, 40 miles north of Williamsport, PA and 35 miles south of Corning, NY. We are approximately 135 miles southeast of Buffalo, NY, 120 miles south of Rochester, NY, 220 miles northeast of Pittsburgh, 200 miles north of Baltimore, MD, 190 miles northwest of Philadelphia, and 180 miles east of New York City. Route 15 has just been turned into a 4 lane highway as far north as Blossburg. The rest of route 15 will become 4 lane into New York state in the next 4 to 6 years, joining Interstate 86 at Painted Post, NY.

      Route 15 will be designated as the William B. Wilson Highway, passing through Blossburg. William B. Wilson was a native of Blossburg and became the first Secretary of Labor of the United States during the administration of Woodrow Wilson.

      Each year we have a "Coal Festival" here to honor William B. and the coal miners of old. The festival is held the last week of May, running Thursday through Saturday. Come join us, our coal festival king and queen, and a great parade on Saturday. We will have a great automobile show and other exhibits.

      We are the home of J.P. Ward Manufacturing Company. They are the second leading producer of pipe fittings in the world. They are the largest employer in Tioga County.

      We have a Health Center, a Wellness Center, a Head Start Center, the North Penn Home Health Agency, Hospice, and a senior center located in the borough.

      North Penn High School and Blossburg Elementary schools serve our children and are part of the Southern Tioga School District. We are really proud of our school system and the students who attend them. Our school has produced doctors, lawyers, judges, teachers, engineers, nurses, factory workers, mechanices, politicians, and most of all, good American citizens. We are 10 miles from Mansfield University and 90 miles from Penn State University.

      We have our own water system, sewer system, and TV cable company. We have building lots available for residental building and some commercial lots. We have one of the best recreational parks in the northern tier and our own swimming pool, baseball and softball fields, football field, tennis courts, and little league field.
