  • Dan work, on updating Authority's emergency response plan.
  • Haul 1B stone and screenings to use as fill around piping at stp.
  • Get 4 rear tires put on garbage truck.

  • Work on water meters around town that need repaired.
  • Install 12" DIP bypass around old CL2 pit.
  • Paint top portion of trickling filter inside wall.
  • First budget meeting for 2003.

  • Receive State Allocation for pension funds.
  • Start installing electrical conduit at stp.
  • Put second coat of paint on inside wall of trickling filter.

  • Three employees go to sewer class in morning, at Wellsboro.
  • Install electrical conduit at stp. Borrow Mike Stoudt's portable heater to use for bending pipe around corners.
  • Dave Jones at stp to check out electrical system .
  • Hydro at old NPHC well to check out flows. Preliminary estimates of a safe yield of 50 GPM. I will contact Authority engineer.

  • Cut posts to support distributor arm at stp trickling filter.
  • S. Bray at stp in morning to help us set center hub for trickling filter. Install distributor arms in afternoon.

  • Install electrical conduit at stp.
  • Work on leveling trickling filter distributor arms.
  • Take some picnic tables down town for Octoberfest.
  • Mail pension funds from state to appropriate accounts.

  • Level up distributor arms for trickling filter.

  • Double check trickling filter distributor arm elevations then grout under center hub of distributor.
  • Winterize softball and pool restrooms.
  • Install electrical conduit at stp.
  • Recreation meeting at school library. Stuff envelopes for United Fund.

  • Three employees off sick today.
  • Yearly calibration of source water meters completed today.
  • Remove blocking from trickling filter and start cleaning up floor of filter.

  • Two employees go to sewer class in morning at Wellsboro.
  • Mansfield Crane look at foot bridge so a price can be quoted for removal of bridge.
  • Cut vent pipes for trickling filter then mount on inside wall.
  • Start installing under drain and media on half of floor for trickling filter.
  • Take layout switch and panel boxes to Jim Smith so he can make frame work to hold units.

  • Finish installing under drain in trickling filter.
  • Start hauling plastic media to stp from garage.

  • Finish hauling media from garage to stp, then turn on sewer flows to trickling filter.
  • Install recirculating pump and adjust valve so water pumping to trickling filter distributor all the time. This will help promote the growth of bacteria, which is needed for sewer treatment.
  • Add bacteria packets to sewer flows to help growth on trickling filter media. Have to add bacteria every day.

  • Paid holiday.
  • Council meeting will reconvene on 10-28.

  • Clean out sludge beds at stp.
  • Representative from US Filter at stp in morning to check out operation of trickling filter distribution arm. Only had to make a few minor adjustments. Installation looked good to him.
  • Budget meeting for 2003 at Boro Hall all morning.

  • Three employees go to sewer class in morning at Wellsboro.
  • Clean up area inside fence at stp.
  • Get wiring for rear lights of 1 ton repaired.

  • Work on electric and plumbing for manhole by secondary clarifier.

  • Finish work on manhole by secondary clarifier.
  • Trim brush along edge of Ruah St.

  • Install frame work for electrical boxes to manhole at stp.
  • Core 3 inch hole in top of sludge manhole lid for access to pump wires. Cement 2 inch conduit into hole.

  • Finish conduit run from fitting we cemented in top of sludge manhole to panel box.
  • Broke hydraulic hose on excavator while digging at stp. Will have NAPA make up a new one.
  • Cut hole in wall of control house at stp to run electrical conduit through.
  • Budget meeting in morning. Finalize proposed 2003 figures.

  • Three employees go to sewer class in morning at Wellsboro.
  • Put new hose on excavator in afternoon.
  • Work on electrical sub panel in control house at stp.
  • Leesa make out 50 - 48 hour notices to be taken around tomorrow.

  • Repair curb box lids at intersection of Ruah and Seymour Sts.
  • Piston cylinder housing split on excavator while operating at stp. Will call Allenwood Equipment for price of used housing.
  • DEP at stp to check out progress of work done to plant.
  • Look for water leak along creek behind low income on Taber St.

  • Work on plumbing at Boro garage.
  • Remove old telephone poles at park by football scoreboard.
  • Pick up 36 x 36 inch panel box for stp electric.

  • Install 14 tons of BCBC blacktop on streets around town.
  • Dave Jones repair photo cell for Veteran's Monument lights.
  • Reconvened Council meeting.

10-29
  • Drill holes in bottom of 3 x 3 foot panel box for 1 and 2 inch conduits to connect to box.
  • Install 10 tons of ID2 blacktop on Ruah, Seymour and Nevins Sts. Take roller back to Montoursville in afternoon.
  • Calling for 2 to 4 inches of snow tonight. Put salt spreader on 1 ton.
  • Leesa make out shut off notices.

10-30
  • Employees go to sewer class in Wellsboro.
  • Shut off delinquent customers.
  • Mount 36 x 36 inch panel box to outside wall of control house and connect conduits to top and bottom of box.
  • Zoning Hearing Board meeting at night.

  • Dave Jones work with Boro crew at stp pulling wire in conduit.
  • Work on Boro garage plumbing.
