05/01	Matt Grinnell start work. Crew finish Tuesday cleanup and start on Wednesday's route. Bomb threat at Ward's plant #1. Municipal Authority meeting: Accept Inter municipal Agreement between Blossburg and Hamilton Twp. Authority for new sewer line to extend to Morris Run. Agree to purchase Kelly property for future STP expansion.
05/02	Cleanup on Wednesday's garbage route. Metal container is full. Contact Staimen to pick up. Taper off bank behind new Boro Hall parking lot.
05/03	Staimen pick up full metal container and leave another empty unit. PennDot in to go over roads and estimate cost for repaving on Boro streets. Put out delinquent letters. Call Street and Budget Committee members to set up a date for meeting before next Council meeting. Cold patch roads around town.
05/04	Finish up spring cleanup today. Call Kelly about land purchase by STP. Discussions with delinquent customers who were unhappy about paying overdue bills.
05/05	Work at pool. Remove old blocks at the bar-b-que pit.
05/07	Work in pool to get ready for opening. Shut off 4 homes who made no effort to contact office about delinquent bills. Street Committee review paving project for 2001. Budget Committee review minimum starting wages for employees.
05/08	AWWA rep. meet with Dan to discuss new Authority computer. Start work in multrum restroom. Going to convert half of each side of building to regular toilets that discharge to sewer line that was run through the Park last year. Pick up pool paint in Williamsport. Cement bad areas in pool. New chlorine scales for pool delivered today.
05/09	Put chlorine scales together and take to pool. Fit really well. Work on cement at pool. Work on multrum restroom rehabilitation. Put mowers on Ford tractor so fields can be cut faster.
05/10	Start installing sewer line to multrum restroom. Shovel out sludge beds at STP. Exeter Supply demonstrate water leak locator. Work on cement at pool.
05/11	Finish installing sewer and water lines to multrum restrooms. Fill in hole for weekend. Finish cement work in pool.
05/12	Go to auction in Harrisburg and purchase stone rake.
05/14	Ed Stanley's first day back to work after transplant. Pension auditor at Hall today. Smooth up concrete repairs in pool. PennDot measure up parking area along Morris St. for STSD and give them estimate. After Council meeting set up voting booths for primary tomorrow.
05/15	Start to flush hydrants and exercise all main line valves. Clean out multrum tank and start plumbing to new toilets.
05/16	Work in multrum restrooms. Turn on water to pool building and old pavilion. L/B Water demonstrate water leak location. L/B rep. showed employees how to rebuild water meters. Tim Bogaczyk resigned from Planning Commission. Summer help start cleaning pool with muriatic acid. Flush hydrants. Sleezy Construction start relaying blocks for b-b-que pit.
05/17	Work in multrum restroom. Finish installing water to new toilets. Finish flushing hydrants up to R & G Club. Sleezy Construction finish laying blocks at b-b-que pit.
05/18	Finish up work on multrum restroom. Summer help start painting pool.
05/19	Flush hydrants and exercise main line valves on Main St. Spring cleanup on Park. Good turn out. Talk to Nybeck about grinding down stumps at park which were just cut down.
05/21	Work at park. Move bleachers for Coal Festival. Straighten flag pole at softball field. Relocate new playground equipment from pool basketroom to garage by football field. Contact Sleezy Construction about putting up new playground after Coal Festival. Nybeck grind down 2 stumps at park. Recreation meeting.
05/22	Belawski landscape around New Hall and trim shrubs. Fill potholes in dirt roads. Flush hydrants on Rt. 15.
05/23	Cold patch roads where needed. Install catch basin on corner of Lynd and Davis Sts. Summer help finish painting big pool. Will let paint dry 7 days before adding water.
05/24	Install catch basin on Water St. between Joseph and Adam Streets and run 50' of 12" pipe across road. Tramp ditchline so settled good before blacktopping later in summer. Finish flushing hydrants on side hill.
05/25	Cut grass on Park before weekend. Repair leaking fittings in R & G well. Rear rim on 1-ton cracked. Have to find another rim at junkyard.
05/29	Install new catch basin along Morris St. Locate rims to fit 1-ton at junkyard in NY state. Put out more delinquent notices. Man in to look at mobile sweeper he bought. Looked at Fire trucks which are for sale, also.
05/30	Pick up rims for 1-ton truck from junkyard. Pool within 3' of top in morning. Full by evening. Start hauling 2A stone for parking lot behind new Hall.
05/31	Work at pool to get ready for opening. Have to get new chlorine booster pump. Start replacing new water service to Davies home on Hannibal St. so leak can be repaired. Finish up tomorrow.
