  • Bob Johnson died early this morning.
  • Seven more responses received on County Questionnaire.
  • Work on water budget with Jack and Dave.
  • Have Stuart Lisowski move excavator from stp to garage. Have some work to do on the bucket.

3-3
  • Haul 4 loads of shredded paper from garage to NTSWA. Talked to landfill and from now on we can put shredded paper in newspaper bin.
  • Eight more responses received on County Questionnaire.
  • Discuss pedestrian bridge loan with FCNB.

3-4
  • Meeting with Boro Solicitor on Boro properties around town.
  • Receive only 2 responses to County Questionnaire today.
  • Bomb threat at Ward's Plant #1 .
  • Bob Johnson memorial service today.
  • Authority meeting - review water budget and vote to increase water rates by 25 cents per 1,000 and leave the base rate unchanged.

  • Have to salt and cinder roads in morning because light rain caused icy conditions.
  • 3 more responses received on County Questionnaire.
  • Repair water line in Morris Run. Rebill for labor and equipment used.
  • NTSWA deliver chipper for us to use at Park when trimming limbs.

  • Snow start in morning. Calling for 2-6". Salt roads in morning, then start plowing after dinner .
  • Budget meeting in morning.
  • Stuart Lisowski work on excavator replacing bushings on bucket. Have to order two more bushings and one pin from Allenwood Equipment.
  • Received 2 more responses on County Questionnaire.

  • Plow snow in morning, then cinder dirt roads.
  • Only receive 1 response to County Questionnaire. If not get many more responses, will take replies to County for review.

  • Start trimming limbs off trees at Park and chipping up. Will haul chips to stp and stockpile in compost pile.
  • Receive 2 more responses on County questionnaire.
  • Parts ordered for excavator came in today.
  • Council meeting.

3-11
  • Trim trees at Park and chip up limbs with NTSWA chipper.
  • Only receive one response on County Questionnaire today. Have received 222 responses for a 28.8% return rate. Have Dan take all responses to Tioga County to Kerry Geykis.
  • DEP meet with Dan at Bellman filter to discuss setting up equipment to test filter plant performance sometime in April.
  • Store bucket of cold patch in garage overnight to warm up.

  • Cold patch potholes around town.
  • Three employees go to sewer class in morning at Wellsboro.
  • Grease pumps at stp plugged. Have to pull and clean

  • Snow early in morning. Salt roads, then start plowing after dinner.
  • Work on grease pumps at stp.

  • Salt roads where necessary, then empty salt out of truck and wash down. Calling for nice weather this weekend.
  • Take backhoe out and clean off tops of catch basins.
  • Start reading water meters.
  • Police Committee meeting in morning.
  • Clean gas domes for stp clarigestors. Pump sludge from secondary clarifier. Not as black as it use to be.

3-17
  • Lisowski at garage changing pins in excavator bucket. Having trouble getting some pins in. Will come back later to work on.
  • Trim more limbs off trees at park. Will chip up later .
  • Pumps at stp pump house not alternating properly. Pull the probes and change two of them.
  • Snow melt causing dirty water at Bellman filter. Turn off filter for the night and run R& G well.

3-18
  • Start Bellman filter back up. Will try and get 1 MG tank topped off in case the plant has to be shut back down again later in the week because of dirty water in stream.
  • Haul stone from Bloss Mountain quarry to repair bad sections of dirt roads caused from spring thaw.
  • Meet with R& G Club representative and their engineer to discuss Taylor Run dam replacement.
  • Section of Ogdensburg Road that was dug up to repair water leak is getting bad. Will have to dig out some wet material and re-patch tomorrow.

3-19
  • Three employees go to sewer class in morning at Wellsboro.
  • Pick up expansion tanks from Mitchell's Radiator. Had tanks painted with Line-X to see if they would hold up better in meter pits where there is a lot of ground water .
  • One more County Questionnaire received today.
  • Repair Ogdensburg Rd. where water leak was repaired during the winter.
  • Put salt and cinders on trucks in preparation of freezing rain tonight.

3-20
  • Had to salt a few roads because of icy conditions.
  • Chip up limbs at Park.
  • Calling for heavy rain tonight. Run Bellman Filter all day, but shut down before quitting time and turn on R& G well.
  • DEP schedule performance test at Bellman Filter on May 6 & 7.
  • Heavy rain starts later in day. River level at 4 ½' during night.
  • TCAB meeting in Recreation Bldg. at Island Park.

3-21
  • Dave Jones check out probe wiring for pumps at stp pump house.
  • Chip limbs at Park.
  • NTSWA bring 20-yard container to stp that Authority purchased. Will use to load grease and geotextile from grease pits into.
  • Turn on Bellman filter in morning, but had to shut off at night because of rain.

3-24
  • Ed off, had to go to Hershey because blood sugar is real high for some reason.
  • Adjust probe at stp pump house so pump #3 goes off and on properly.
  • Check manholes for infiltration. Found bad areas on Taber and Tannery Sts., and Wilson Lane. Will take sewer equipment and televise lines.

3-25
  • Ed called and will be off rest of week due to problems with his transplant.
  • Put water tank on dump truck. Will fill tank with water so a rope can be floated between manholes and sewer line can be televised .
  • One more County Questionnaire received today. Up to 224 responses or 29% return rate.
  • Work on taking old pedestrian bridge apart. Jackhammer almost ¾ of blacktop from deck and remove. Dave Jones and I took pictures of work progress.
  • Planning Commission meeting on subdivisions of lot by Holiday Market and railroad property. Review proposed Dollar Saver Store and issues that need addressed by Council.

3-26
  • Remove rest of blacktop deck on pedestrian bridge.
  • Meet with STSD and Kevin Lindquist about access to railroad property across School District property .

3-27 and 23
  • Talked to Ed and he plans to return to work on Monday.
  • Remove fencing and metal deck on pedestrian bridge. Will clean up materials thrown along bridge later. Penelec take down street light wires running along bridge. Schedule crane to remove bridge girders next week.
  • Scott Bray at stp to discuss additional drying beds needed for sludge from secondary clarifier .
  • Dan haul sludge from Bellman Filter to manhole at Island Park.
