1-28
  • Cold temperatures all day. Have the crew work in garage cleaning up, unless an emergency comes up.
  • Dave Darby and I meet with Wellsboro Gazette to discuss updated Zoning Map for the Borough.
  • Take one plow to welding shop for repair.

1-31
  • Collect garbage with 1-ton truck and pickup while garbage truck is at shop for repair.
  • Cut trees and limbs away from edges of roads around town.
  • Recreation meeting-Finalize distribution of 2004 United Fund monies.

2-1
  • Get rest of parts for repairing grease pump at stp and put pump back together. Install pump in pit during afternoon.
  • Repair shop called and garbage truck is done. Will pick up tomorrow morning.
  • Municipal Authority meeting at night.

2-2
  • Have two employees leave early in morning to pick up garbage truck from repair shop. They had truck back in town early enough so it could be used to collect garbage and recycling.
  • Trim trees along streets around town.
  • Discuss storm drain work with Boro Engineer. In order to use Liquid Fuels money I will have to bid out materials. Will set up a Street Committee meeting to discuss project and get approval.

  • Measure distances for storm drain work, so I can present rough cost estimate to Street Committee.
  • Measure downtown plaza buildings so square footage can be calculated.
  • FEMA rep. looks at debris in Bellman Reservoir and will go back to office to figure out cost reimbursable from FEMA.

2-4
  • Meet with Authority solicitor in morning to discuss Authority business.
  • Make out 9 48-hour shut off notices, to be put out next week

  • Put out 9 48-hour shut off notices.
  • Sun out and temperature nice today.
  • Cold patch potholes around town.
  • Screens cinders from pile outside and fill up stockpile in pole barn.

2-8
  • Rain in morning form ice on any snow on dirt roads. Cinder roads where necessary.
  • Cold patch potholes later in day.
  • Dan and I met with DEP to discuss water plants.
  • Call PaDOT about easements to clean drainage ditch by Wilson Lane.

2-9
  • Receive copy of map from PaDOT outlining their easements along ditch that needs cleaned on north end of town.
  • Pump sludge out of secondary clarifier at stp into new drying beds, then clean both chlorine contact pits by pumping water back to head of plant.
  • Rain start in afternoon and into the night. Shut down Bellman Filter. Sportsman's Well was already on because 1MG water tank level was down a little.
  • Calling for snow tomorrow so get equipment ready to go.

2-10
  • Only had snow flurries in morning. Salting roads took care of snow, didn't need plows.
  • Check on I & I at Senior Housing on Diehr St.
  • Finish corrections in Personnel Policy and make copies to send to Council for review.

2-11
  • Take garbage truck to repair shop so front brakes can be replaced.
  • Give building permit application to a couple who plans to build home on Joseph St. this year.
  • Every delinquent home tagged earlier in week came to office to pay.

2-14
  • Work at Senior Housing on Diehr St. looking for I. Not & I find any problems at this time.
  • Receive call from FEMA rep. about money to clean sediment from Bellman Reservoir. There may be some funding, but I have to fill out a time extension. Made some calls and got extension completed and mailed in.
  • Rain most of the night, but not affect water at Bellman Filter.
  • Public Hearing to update Borough Zoning Map.
  • Council meeting.

2-15
  • Talk to PaDOT about cleaning ditchline on north end of town. They will check their easements and get back to me.
  • Call Lisowski about moving excavator. He will try and get done tomorrow.
  • Paint box on 1-ton truck where bodywork was completed.

2-16
  • Discuss cleaning Bellman Reservoir with Army Corp. of Engineers. No permit needed from them.
  • Excavator moved to stp pump house late in afternoon.
  • Rain/snow during day but clear off later in afternoon.
  • Water flows to town decreasing. Customers must be turning off their water at night because of warmer temperatures.

2-17
  • Discuss regulations with Fish Commission about cleaning Bellman Reservoir.
  • Repairman checks camera and monitor for garbage truck. Found out that camera is bad and needs replaced. Will call and order new unit.

2-18
  • Trim branches away from streets.
  • Snow start before noon. Salt roads and sweep off walks.
  • PaDOT drop off paperwork to be completed so Borough can clean ditch on their property .
  • Shut off water to one delinquent property.

2-21
  • Holiday. Crew in to plow snow then salt and cinder roads. Roads were clean before noon.

2-22
  • Crew in early to clean snow off Main St.
  • Salt/cinder slippery areas around town.
  • Calling for 1"- 3" of snow later tonight.

2-23
  • Crew in early to plow snow and salt roads.
  • Get materials for installing check valve in sewer line at Senior Citizen's Housing on Diehr St. Will rebill TCHA for material and labor.
  • Leesa made out 57 delinquent notices. Will get distributed today and tomorrow.
  • Receive new video camera for garbage truck. Schedule installation with repairman.

2-24
  • Finish distributing delinquent notices.
  • Take Borough's 2004 financial reports to auditor.
  • Street Committee meeting to discuss proposed storm drain work in town. They would like one area completed for drain work, so I will finish measuring rest of Schuylkill St. and calculate cost estimate. Will schedule another Committee meeting when costs are completed.
  • Finish PaDOT paperwork for cleaning ditchline on north end of Boro.
  • Calling for another 1" - 3" of snow tonight.

2-25
  • Crew in early to plow snow, then salt and cinder roads.
  • Mail paperwork to PaDOT in morning.
