Date	Activity
11-29	Paint concrete catch basin riser with yellow paint. Put around base of Stop sign on corner of Morris and Hannibal Sts. to try and prevent post from being broken all the time. Recirculation pump at stp keeps tripping out, so Dave Jones temporarily wire a new 5 HP motor to pump water and keep trickling filter media wet all the time. Cold patch potholes around town. Pull grease pumps at stp to clean impellers. Football field dug up by vehicle last night.
12-1	Salt roads after snow last night.
12-2	Holiday - First day of buck season. I did water and sewer plants. Get rest of electrical material needed for stp electric panel. Will take to Dave Jones tomorrow so he can complete wiring. Snow start late in afternoon. Have Ray come in to salt roads. Will put plows on trucks at night. Call crew to come in early tomorrow morning to plow snow.
12-3	Crew in early to plow and salt roads. Plow slush off roads in afternoon before the temperature drops. Ice forming on media in trickling filter at stp in areas where water flow is minimal. Does not look any worse than it used to during really cold weather. Will keep an eye on it. Municipal Authority meeting.
12-4	Employees attend last sewer class in Wellsboro. Dave Jones complete new electric panel box for stp. We will take to stp and set on top of existing panel box tomorrow. Ben Jones at Bellman filter in morning to repair ceiling heaters.
12-5	Mount new electric sub panel on top of existing panel in morning. Dave Jones will try and put power to new panel tomorrow. Snow start early. Salt roads in morning, then start plowing in afternoon.
12-6	Crew in early to clean up snow on Main St, i Plow and cinder rest of roads and get cleaned up pretty good. Chemicals delivered to Bellman filter and stp. Dave Jones wire up sub panel in stp control house. LRM put in flow meter at stp to replace one that was ruined by power surge last month. Meeting with solicitor in morning to go over Boro pension plans.
12-9	Call Hamilton Twp. engineers about flow meter for their sewer system. Company that installed original unit will be at site tomorrow morning. Get second 5 HP motor in secondary clarifier manhole at stp pumping properly. Clean arms on trickling filter distributor and unit is rotating better. BOD readings at stp are much better than they ever used to be. New media is really doing the job more efficiently. Council meeting.
12-10	Kappe Associates repair housing for second recirculating pump at stp. Work at Boro garage on unit. Dave Jones at stp to go over wiring needed in 1" conduit for secondary clarifier and flow meter pit. Got 120 volt wires pulled in one conduit. Try and get control wires pulled in other conduit tomorrow. Build temporary lean to over wiring box at stp so we can work on wires during bad weather. Dan and I check out new flow meter, which will record sewer flow from Morris Run.
12-11	Freezing rain, sleet in morning. Put salt on roads and not plow off. Will have crew come in early tomorrow morning to plow off. Install control wires in conduit at stp. Morris Run cinder truck broke down. Call Boro for help. Send up dump truck to cinder roads. Will rebill for time and material.
12-12	Snow heavy last night. Got 2" to 4" of snow. Roads cleaned up nicely with salt on roads from yesterday. Send two trucks to plow at Morris Run after Boro streets done. Rebill later. Average sewer flows from Morris Run are 38,000 GPD.
12-13	Clean snow off Main and Carpenter Streets. Check over snow equipment in anticipation of possible storm tonight and tomorrow.
12-14	Temperatures high enough so did not get as much snow as predicted. Crew only out plowing a little while.
12-16	Start reading water meters. Some snow in morning. Plow roads and salt. Send trucks to Morris Run to cinder roads. Budget meeting in morning. Members interested in exploring possibility of an "inter municipal agreement" between Blossburg and Morris Run. Will try and set up a meeting.
12-17	Read water meters. Dave Jones work with Boro employees at stp on electric transfer from old wiring to recirculation pit over new wiring that was run in early November. Meeting with Tom Bogaczyk to go over equipment cost for inter municipal agreement.
12-18	Read water meters. Put out 50 stickers for over due utility bills. Crew work with Dave Jones on stp electric. Cinder roads at Morris Run in afternoon.
12-19	Water consumption to town going up. Attribute some to Ward Mfg. and people letting water run during cold weather. Will still go out and listen for possible leaks. Crew work with Dave Jones to finish electric at stp. Only thing left to do is run control wires to clarigesters which will turn pumps off during high water so trickling filter is not overloaded.
12-20	Work on plumbing at Bellman filter. Read water meters. Review Agility Contract with Penn Dot rep. Will bring up at Council meeting.
12-23	Pump more water from bottom of secondary clarifier into one drying bed at stp. Meeting with Budget Committee and Hamilton Twp. supervisors. Agree to an inter municipal agreement on snow plowing. Will make up a rough draft of agreement for review by both parties.
12-24	Potential heavy snow tonight and tomorrow. Work on equipment and get plows on all available equipment. Will call crew in morning when there is enough snow to plow. Clean out both CL2 pits at stp and pump to one drying bed.
12-25	Merry Christmas. Only got about 1" of snow by 7 AM, but snow really start coming down later. Call crew in during morning to plow in Blossburg and Morris Run. Use single axle dump truck to plow around garages. Got about 9" - 10" of snow. Crew go home late in afternoon. Will come in early tomorrow.
12-26	Crew in early to plow and cinder roads. Clean up snow in business district and haul to empty lot on Reese Lane. Patrolman helps direct traffic while cleaning snow on Main St. Water consumption to town up. Will run Sportsman's Well about twice per week.
12-27	Taking plow for single axle dump truck to Jim Smith so overhang of plow can be cut off so snow won't accumulate on top so much. Salt and cinder roads where necessary.
12-29	Replace bad expansion tank in meter pit at Mitchell trailer park.
12-30	Clean arms of trickling filter at stp so they will rotate better. Start running electrical conduit for new CL2 analyzer at Bellman filter. Metal wall of coal stove at garage is broken. Will let fire go out so we can try and repair tomorrow. Attend Hamilton Twp. meeting with Jack Eckman to discuss their new sewer line and billing. Freezing rain at night. Call in someone to salt roads all around town.
12-31	Repair coal stove at garage. Crew come in early to salt and cinder Boro roads. When done send cinder trucks to Morris Run. Work on installing electrical conduit at Bellman filter.
