Date	Activity
8-2	Start excavating hole for new flowmeter pit at stp. Install more piping from secondary clarifier toward trickling filter. Bad storm in afternoon. Lightning hit 2 computers in Boro Hall and heavy winds knocked over one tree at Park and tree in Union Cemetery.
8-3	Finish digging out hole for flowmeter pit. Will level off bottom tomorrow. Clean up tree at Park. Talk to Realtor about railroad property.
8-6	Level off bottom of hole where new flow meter pit will sit. Start filling in around new Cl2 pit some more. Start cleaning up tree at Union Cemetery. Got main Boro computer repaired from lightning strike last week.
8-7	Work at cleaning up tree at Union Cemetery. Level off area on north side of new C12 pit so small pit can be built with 8" blocks to house C12 ejector. Mail out tenant letters to delinquent building. Fence post on footbridge torn loose from side of bridge deck by someone.
8-8	Call Engineer about footbridge. Set up meeting for next Wednesday to check out. Discuss building inspection info. with Mansfield permit officer. Will supply info. to Council. Finish cleaning up tree at Union Cemetery.
8-9	Repair broken lock at KCC. Also install dead bolt on lock. Discuss footbridge problem with Council. Decide to shut down. Fence off both sides of bridge. Fill in holes and level off some areas at stp.
8-12	Install "Footbridge Closed" signs at access roads to Island. Work on line from secondary clarifier to trickling filter at stp.
8-13	Connect line from secondary clarifier into line running to trickling filter. Repair leaking joint in manhole before trickling filter. Replace meter valve at Elementary School. Contact Realtor about railroad property. He needs to check out some more maps before setting up a meeting.
8-14	Replace backflow preventer for High School. Move 1 set of old bleachers from football field to Little League field. Engineers check out footbridge in morning. In agreement to keep bridge closed for now. Dig up 6" DIP elbow on pipe which runs from recirculating pumps to head of stp. Want to cut out elbow and splice in a 6" tee and valves so have the capability of pumping water from recirculating pits to either head of stp or into drying beds.
8-15	Cut out 6" 90°elbow in line at stp and splice in 6" tee and 2 6" valves. Cut out section of pipe running to drying beds and will splice 6"DIP into it tomorrow. Cold patch potholes around town. Solicitor at Boro Hall to talk to Sally.
8-16	Connect 6" DIP from recirculating pumps into 8" DIP going to drying beds at stp. Patch potholes around town.
8-19	Start laying 8" blocks for small pit next to new C12 pit at stp. Call Zeizer Vault about flow meter pit at stp. Unit is done and they will deliver this Friday. Contractor removing steps at Baptist Church. Remove flood elevation marker from one step and will place at Boro Hall on another concrete stand.
8-20	Clean sludge from drying beds and haul to NTSWA. Lay more 8" blocks for pit next to new C12 pit at stp. Patch potholes around town.
8-21	Drop more sludge into drying beds at stp. Finish laying 8" blocks at stp, then run conduit pipe to run piping through. Start back filling over pipe. U.S. Filter called and new distribution arm for trickling filter will be delivered next week.
8-22	Back fill around 12" DIP bypass by new C12 pit, then start back filling another 2' layer around new C12 pit.
8-23	Haul sludge from basement at Bellman filter. Zeizer Vault set new flow meter pit at stp. We cement joint where both sections meet. Start back filling around tank in afternoon.
8-26	Distribution arm for trickling filter delivered to stp. Install 12" DIP between old C12 pit and new flow meter pit. Clean off floor of new flow meter pit. Will paint walls tomorrow. Locate water leaks at two homes today. Send 2 employees to backflow preventor classes at Towanda. Classes are scheduled for all week.
8-27	Excavate at stp for piping from new flow meter pit to drain and for piping to new sludge manhole. Apply first coat of paint on interior of new flow meter pit Mendon and engineers at Morris Run testing both lift stations and flow meter manhole before Tioga River. Leak repaired at one house where leak was found yesterday. Talk to Realtor about railroad property. He will talk to surveyor about property and have info to Council by 9/02 meeting.
8-28	Excavate for manhole next to secondary clarifier at stp. Casing pipe for chlorine line to C12 pits in the way, so will have to move off to west side of pit. Finish painting inside walls of flow meter pit Locate small water leak to home on Lynd St.
8-29	Move casing pipe for chlorine out of way to make room for manhole by secondary clarcifier at stp. Finish levelling bottom of hole for manhole by secondary clarifier Zeizer Vault to deliver unit tomorrow morning. Leak in home on Lynd St. in basement before meter. Call Ben Jones to repair. Listen for more leaks around town.
